Default Any one from Long Island wrap their Vette

Thinking about putting clear wrap on vett to protect paint from chips/scratches. Any one suggest a good shop to perform service. Is this safe for paint of car if needed to be removed? Please any suggestions thanks

Long Island Detail on Broadhollow Road (route 110) in Farmingdale. My club had a Tech session there and their finished product looked great to me . They went through the paint correction and things that are done before the wrap was applied. Couldn't tell where it was and where it wasn't. Its easily located. Don't know about the cost

Ok I emailed LI Detailers and here's the scoop: (And it can get very expensive as you will see, depending on what you want)

Hello Kevin,

For the ultimate protection and to protect the resale value of your vehicle I'd recommend combining a mixture of clear bra and ceramic coatings. The clear bra will protect against rock chips and damage and the coating will protect against swirls and scratches along with ease of cleaning.

Most people typically go with the full nose in clear bra and major impact areas (Full Hood, Fenders, Bumper, Headlights, Mirror Faces, Side Skirts, Around the Rear Wheel Arches) and so on.

Partial nose - Full bumper, Partial Fenders, Partial Hood, Headlights - $850
Full nose - Full Bumper, Full Hood, Full Fenders, Headlights, Mirror Cover Faces - $1850
Side skirts and rear arches are optional and depends if its a daily driver or not.

As far as the coatings go, here is a list of our Ceramic Pro Packages. Please look them over and give us a call to schedule an appointment.

Bronze - 2 Year Warranty
1 Coat of Ceramic Pro Light
Light scratch resistance
Covers the Paint, Glass, Plastics, and Wheels.

$899.00

Silver - 5 Year Warranty
1 Coat of Ceramic Pro 9H
1 Coat of Ceramic Pro Light
Light-Moderate scratch resistance
Covers the Paint, Glass, Plastics, and Wheels.

$1,499.00

Gold - Lifetime Warranty
4 Coats of Ceramic Pro 9H
1 Coat of Ceramic Pro Light
Moderate-Heavy scratch resistance
Covers the Paint, Glass, Plastics, and Wheels.

$2,499.00

Extreme - Lifetime Warranty
9 layers of Ceramic Pro 9H
1 layer of Ceramic Pro Light
4 layers of Ceramic Pro 9H on plastics
4 layers of Ceramic Pro Rain on all windows and glass
4 layers of Ceramic Pro Textile on all fabric and upholstered surfaces
4 layers of Ceramic Pro Leather on all leather surfaces
1 Black Pearl Tire Treatment
Heavy scratch resistance
Covers the Paint, Glass, Plastics, Wheels, and Interior.

$4,499.00

Interior Coating Package - 2 Year Warranty
Leather & Vinyl treated with Ceramic Pro Leather
Carpets & Suede treated with Ceramic Pro Textile
Plastics treated with Ceramic Pro Plastic

$499.00

Which ever package that you choose will include a warranty for the time period (2yr, 5yr, or lifetime). All of the services provided with ceramic pro are backed by an insurance company that will cut you a check to get the coating repaired if there are ever any issues down the road that they say it prevents against (staining, fading, etc).

The yearly checkup is just for us to inspect the coating and make sure everything is okay and to reapply the top coat as needed.

Regards,

Andrew

Good morning – Saw you mentioned on the Corvette Forum - Can you please tell me the cost for Clear Bra for a 2008 Z06, including prep/paint correction. I would want the nose, headlights, front part of the hood, mirrors and appropriate areas of the fenders front and back. FYI The car only has 9800 miles and the paint been polished & maintained and is nearly flawless, so I don’t think it should need much correction. Also, the black stripe on the hood is paint, not vinyl, so no worries there.

Thanks,
Kevin

Now I know why a few of the owners of these clear bra and detail company's are driving Lamborghini's lol. $4500 package and only about $500 is material cost. I'm in the wrong line of work.

Bryan is who I used to do a 2-stage paint correction and opticoat on my Mustang. Yes, he is very good.

Getting quotes from him now for Xpel ultimate.
