I moved to Prince Frederick, MD not too long ago and I'm have been looking through the threads. There seems to be some car meets all over the state, but I'm new the area and looking to meet fellow Corvette owners.

Any recommendations?

Other than the North Beach meets during the market, that seems to be the closest. Is it worth the hour drive?

Thank you! Yeah, they are all pretty far from me except one that is during a market which is packed full of people shopping. I'm looking to meet up with other car people and talk cars. Those type gatherings seem to all be pretty far from me according to the link.

I've seen several Vettes rolling together on a couple different occasions. So I'm assuming there has to be a local gathering going on. I wasn't able to catch up to them and ask them about it though.

I got in touch with the president of the southern maryland corvette club. They are having a get together about 30 mins from me in a few weeks. Hoping this goes well and I meet some really good people. I imagine I will and that should set me up with some people to keep in touch with.

Its a start!! Looking forward to it!! The first meet is going to be a car show and I'm more into racing.. but if I can meet some people that may be into racing, then boom!! Win!!

That is awesome! I'm active duty air force and we rented a house in Chesapeake beach before we bought our house in Prince Frederick. We really liked it there.

What kind of car do you have? I'd love to meet up? Do you ever go to MIR? I went once and managed to run 12.2 @ 115mph. Had a good time racing, but had nobody to talk to.

I live right across the Rt 261 from the Rod & Reel Restaurant and Roland's Grocery.

I have a 2003 Anniversary Red convertible. All stock except the exhaust and wheels. It's my daily driver and I love it. I haven't been to the track in a while. I had a 1994 Corvette Coupe I raced. It was a pro-built 383 stroker with all the ancillary mods to make it go fast. I got bored with it and wanted something newer.

Maybe we can go to one of the Southern MD get-togethers in a few weeks.

Very nice looking car you've got! We miss Chesapeake beach, such a cool little town. Nice to drive down there from time to time.

I just stumbled onto this thread. I live in Huntingtown, southernmarylandcorvetteclub.org. A bunch of us will be at the show
on Apr 5th. That's the first of the season.

I haven't had a Vette in a few years, just picked up a C7 Z06. I'm up north(Baltimore area) but I plan to come to the Southern MD. meets this spring and summer to meet people. I'm looking forward to it!
