Default Good Corvette mechanic near Richmond, VA

Anybody know of a decent "Corvette Shop" near Richmond, VA?

Of course there are dealerships.......but I refer to "independent" mechanics who specialize in Corvettes.

Thanks!

I know Justin Abbott at Zip has a shop but it's in Mechanicsville IIRC.

https://www.zip-corvette.com/

I'd suggest getting in touch w. the local Corv. club (s).

I live in Hanover County -- about ten minutes from Mechanicsville proper. I will have to look into that place.

I have a new 2017 (550 miles on it) Stingray 2LT that I bought one month ago today. While I have two "free" oil changes (it's NOT a Z-51 and has a 'wet' sump) at any GM dealer, I am hoping to find a local place if I needed anything else done -- or perhaps an oil change after I use up my two "free" ones (likely a long time from now).

I bought my Corvette from a dealer in MD, so it doesn't have a VA inspection decal on it yet. My VA tags arrived, but I need to get it inspected (prior to April 2nd) before the 60-day paper tag expires. If I affix my VA license plates, I am subject to being cited for not having an inspection (even on a NEW car).

I assume that Zip does inspections, right?

THANKS AGAIN!!

Inspections are about one of the only things we do not do. My mechanic has his inspection license but in VA for us to inspect, we have to inspect everything not just Corvettes. We only work on Corvettes and at a shop with inspections, those have to take priority on what is being worked on. So we chose to stay clear. We can do anything else to your new C7 though.
