Default Northeast Forum - You can tell it's winter

Wow. The postings have really diminished lately. I think a lot of us have put our vettes to bed for the Winter. I bought my first vette in Spring so this is my first winter. I put her away in late November. She's sitting in the garage all covered up. It seems like I haven't driven her for an eternity. I guess the good news is, that by Spring, I'll feel like a just bought her. The first Spring drive will feel like the day I brought her home. PS: Not looking to start the ole 'Why did you put your vette away, it runs better in cold weather, blah, blah'. Just wanted to point out that the N.E. forum's been real quiet. Also, hope to join you guys on a cruise or two next year! Was reading some posts from 2004 cruises and they sound like fun. Hope you do one or two in my neck of the woods (Wharton, Morris County) in 2005!

What are you talking about. I have done more activities in the last two months than I have done all Spring & Summer long. The weather is just fine. There is even more events coming up, Like the NYC Run.

Put to bed for the winter unless the NYC run becomes a reality.

I have Vette withdrawal, I have not drove it in a month. I have been busy with work and with finals (going for my masters part time), so I have not even been on the forum. It got the battery tender connected and a cover on it in the garage. It would only take a few minutes to uncover it and disconnect the tender and go for a ride. The only thing that sucks is with the cold weather washing it becomes a problem if I take it out.

Mine is in the garage in pieces right now - this is the best time of year to catch up on all those MODS that you wanted to do - plus being the Holiday Season Santa is more apt to drop off a new supply of MODS -

Santa's List from me (Hope he checks the Forum), I would like a new set of GHLs and long tube headers and x-pipe and new cam and (the list never ends)....

Hope the reindeer are up to carrying all of this!!!

Maybe the formal vette show posts have diminished but we've been getting together more in the past month than we did in the whole summer. In the past 30 days in this section we had:

The toys for tots run
2 Bear mountain cruises
1 Hooters get together in LI

I put in Over 1000 miles in less than a month driving all over the place, from upstate to Northern Jersey, Down in Atlantic city, and out to Long Island.

The next couple of months will be slow but my March, things should ramp up again.

My weather forecast for Friday is sunny so I'll be taking mine out for a little spin. As long as the roads are free of snow and salt they are fair game!
