Default Local tuner needed for an 8.1L 496

Hey guys, i just got done putting an 8.1L 496 motor in to a 55 chevy car. I'm looking at possibly sticking in a roller cam from a regular big block, but it changes the firing order back to the old style. Can any shops tune for the new firing order? I have not been able to track down a cam maker for these newer motors.

Wouldn't the crank also need to be changed, since the cam and crank timing go hand in hand? Am I missing something here or just having a brain fart?

Is this fuel injected? Is it using a late model computer? Or is it carburated?

It is fuel injected, out of a 2001 3500 HD. Drive by wire. Rich, about the crank being changed i do not believe so? But i sure could be pissing in the wind, which is why i wanted to talk to a tuner before doing anything.

Rich - Old BB order is 18436572 - 8.1 is 18726543. So 360* swaps. Should be fine as long as the cylinders are programmed to fire at the right time.

Just curious -- what was the purpose of the change in order?

RPM in rohnert park would be a place to go for what you need, but probably way too far.

I think the new order is slightly better balanced than the old one.

But don't take my word for it..
