Anyone else tired of this weather?
Seems like 40 days and 40 nights of rain. I want to drive my C6Z but it's been in the garage forever. And Wednesday night racing? Forget it. Willie

I was supposed to be down supporting Sandy Mendia at the March Meet nostalgia drags in Famoso (Bakersfield) this weekend. Needless to say, it's looking like a washout.

Went to Main Street in Motion at Great America yesterday (Friday). Because of the rain, we didn't have to wait for any cars. Of course, they did close up for about 45 minutes because of high winds and heavy rain. They told us to go home, but we waited in my car, and they did open up again. So, I got to drive 4 regular cars, plus the Volt, Camaro SS, and 3 laps in 2 Corvettes. Normally, you get 1 lap, but after the first lap in the coupe, I said the lap was too short, and the guy said to go again. Then, I went back to the tent and said I'd like to try the convertble - he said go ahead. There were more cars than people to drive them. I remember in the past having to wait an hour for just one lap. By the way, even with a wet track, all the cars did well - no spinouts.

Wednesday was nice, actually, & the Vette's were out. Spotted a C3, C6, exchanged waves with a nice C4 on 280, shared parking with another C6 at work. But by Friday I was back to driving the S10 (which cost's me 2 cents more per mile gas money).
At least I haven't had to turn on the irrigation & sprinklers yet.

forecast. And the Monterey offshore weather buoy is
reporting 35 knots gusting to 45 knots which is about
as high as I can ever remember it. It's noisy enough
here at the dive shack that I couldn't sleep.

No kidding. The gas is going to go bad in my car.
I'm not afraid of getting it wet - its just these nitto nt555 tires in the rain provide a little more excitement than I would like.

Yeah, the rain is old, and my outdoor projects are stacking up. Rain forecast for every one of the next 7 days except Tuesday, which is a good thing, as that's when the wife and daughter drive to the bay area. Yep, that's right, there is a silver lining to every cloud; I'll have the place to myself for at least a week, and I will be on the loose!

House bound is not fun. Myself and the Ridgeback are restless. At least there is March Madness to watch. Still though the gray sky is depressing.
On a positive note the fruit trees and flowers are looking blooming.
