I never get to watch the games here in Cowboy country, so somebody tell me if the last 2-3 weeks' poor efforts were due to incompetent players (esp secondary), poor game-planning (I keep hearing horror stories about JDR's previous coaching job), or what.

We've played against good secondaries before, so how does Cooper get held to 1 catch for 4 yards? That's insane!

Well the game against the Steelers, Offense played great and Defense stunk it up, now Offense seem out of sync to go along with our bad Defense. Against Vikings, Offense look bad but Vikings are a good Defense, I thought against Detroit bad Defense we put up at least 30 points, but Offense seem out of sync, can't get a rhythm a lot of three and outs seem like team regressing. Hope we can snap out of it, our we might not win another game. Sad after we look like a promising team coming out of the bye week. I think JDR a good coach, we just don't have the players on Defense, need another draft and get some good free agents to have a chance at playoffs next year. Let's hope they can finish strong on these last six games.

Default Raiders vs. Titans

Bill Musgrave must stop being so conservative need the pass more to set up the run, where a passing team first, not run. Glad we where able to win, should be a good game against Chiefs next week. Go Raiders !!!

I agree with both being too conservative, though I think they improved a little in predictably giving it to Murray like clockwork on 1st downs, etc., and then get themselves in too many 3rd and long situations.

Way too many penalties (11? for 94 yrds? - that's what I read).

A win is a win, & It'll be a great confidence booster going again KC! Go Raiders!

So did our running game fizzle because
1) Our starting center was out
2) The Titans' defense is fairly good
3) Our play calling is too predictable
4) All of the above

We finally have a defensive back who looks like he can cover a receiver, David Amerson

I think the Raiders have improved, in their predictable play calls, utilizing/substituting RB Olawale (49), TE Walford (88), and I liked the fact they finally went for it on 4th down, yesterday despite a failed attempt (though rescued by a Titan penalty).

It's coming together. We have a great WR corp, which we should maximize on. I think they'll put in a great game next week, against KC.

Nice to not see Carrie or Cooper returning punts.

Also a good thing we were playing a 2-8 team. Better pick it up next week if there is to be any hope for the playoffs.

Carr is a keeper and I hope the doubters are enjoying eating their words.

Being from Nebraska, I'm a bit of a homer, but I wish they'd give Helu more than 2 plays a game. I've seen what he can do as a running back, and if you ever saw him with the Redskins, you know he can catch out of the backfield.

I'm not saying he should replace Murray, but I believe he'd be a great 3rd down back if they'd let him have more than two attempts per game.

Unrelated - Does anyone know why we never see Rod Streater anymore? Didn't he have a great rep as a possession receiver at one time?

In an interview last week Del Rio said that he likes Streater but that the 4 ahead of him on the depth chart are better.

I'm glad we went after him and that he's playing well for us, but IMO, we still need at least one more quality CB to solidify our secondary. I'm guessing we'll need to work some trades in the coming draft to get a chance at the best ones.

Glad they finally bench DJ Hayden, should have done it sooner. Big game this weekend, got to beat the Chiefs. Last year, the Chiefs came into Oakland, on a five game win streak and we won, need to repeat that and win again. Go Raiders !!!

That was one of two great wins, along with beating the team from SF last season, last season. Both teams need a win Sunday, so it should be a hard fought game. Feel much better about our chances now that Hayden is on the bench.

Default Raiders

The raiders are back to conservative and predictable run plays to Murray, and expecting to convert on 3rd on long. Why, when we have one of the best receiver corps in the NFL?
