Thinking of getting a few cars parts dipped, would like to stop by and talk with a shop about the process and expected results.

I've seen work done by these guys and was going to have some parts done by them as well. Very good pricing too....

Hey acarroll7715, that place West Coast place looks pretty cool. If you don't want to post it here, would you mind PM'ing me with what parts / finish you're going to have done and the pricing they're asking?

I was just going to have my radio bezel, door button bezel, and memory seat bezels done. I called about 3 months ago and they quoted me $175. I'm sure it greatly varies based on the size of the parts you want done.

By the way, haven't contacted any shops yet. Some of the parts I'm considering to have dipped have shown up, others still have to be removed. I'm holding off until I get everything together.

Was unable to get to WCH today. I was in email contact with the owner, apparently they've shut down their location near the Dumbarton Bridge and are temporarily located in Daly City until they attempt to move to Pinole. I'm going to try and meet up with them in Daly City at a later date as I just couldn't swing that far of a drive today.

Have you checked out Exolutions? They're located in the East Bay (Brentwood), so not exactly in the Bay area. But I've used them before and they did great work. Here's a link to their site - http://goexo.com/site/hydrographics/

Well it caught up to me so lets hope I made the right decision. Last month while at the abel show I seen a new Z with a ton of Hydro CF work done and I thought it looked tacky it. Funny thing is I have had at least 100 parts over the years done and used to love the look. Needless to say my new car has a bunch of real CF work done and I thought I just grew up. LOL So here we are this week and my car is in 100 pieces while I do my Meth and SC install. I decided I wanted the cowl, airbox, mudflaps, etc... all done. I took them down to Exolutions and talked to the owner. Pricing is right (50 cent a sq in) and he has a magnitude of colors. The typical Hydro CF base is a silver but I asked him to go with a darker base. The coloring will be more subtle but it will make the parts shiny as well so that should help stand out. Stay tuned on my efforts. I think I gave him a total of about 18 parts LOL if it comes out as I expect I am going to have him do the interior parts as well in a Matte finish to match the Real CF dash option I got from GM. If I don't like it I will sell it all and start over. HAHA I love this game
