St. Jude Donor '11-'12-'13

9 year old boy fighting for his life

My 9 year old grandson was involved in a head on. He was riding in the front passenger seat. He had to be extricated w/ the jaws.
Both legs and 1 arm needs major surgery and also, traumatic brain injury.
He has always been such a polite well mannered boy. Always helping with his younger brothers and sisters.
And now he's fighting for his life.

If anyone could take the time to send him a card to show support, that would be great. I know it would cheer my daughter up right now.

This was the car. In the back seat, his 6 year old brother got a broken nose and banged around , but he's alright.

Update 10/16

Devon had surgery on both legs and arm today. My Daughter said everything went well. They also took the neck brace off.
He still hasn't opened his eyes yet.

Hello everyone! I'm Bryans daughter and devons mom thank you for the cards its amazing!! As they come to the room I try to read them all to him. As of today he has a lot of swelling of his tounge he is on the vent machine and sedation so they did lower the settings on the vent but cant really do a whole lot till his tounges swelling goes down. I will try to keep everyone posted with updates as I have not left his side since the accident on the 7th. Its been rough as Devon who is still here in the picu and will continue to be for quite some time and mason who was also in the car (he wad released the day after) are my oldest of nine children. So all the support is great thank you!!!
