Default Escort 9500CI

This is a followup to my original post. The placement of the monitor unit is much easier to see than a inside the mirror unit and saved $750 and weeks of waiting. The control unit mounted in front of the shifter is very convenient and easy to mute or mark etc. Ths manual is just a few pages and easy to use. When the units starts up it reviews current settings. I am very happy and already have one police officer very unhappy with my decision to use this unit as he was marked with plenty of time to react safely.

Can you post pictures of where you installed the other components.

Default Professionally installed

I had it done as everything I read suggested it as the best idea. I am a bit older and I just don't have the time. I have asked the installer to put up pictures of their installation. Now if they will is beyond my control. The late reply is I was visiting with them about posting the installation pictures or taking them the next C7 they do as I wasn’t the first.

Remember the scratchy sounding tone = badge wearing Revenuers. In full logic mode 'L' you shouldn't hear many clear tones anyway.

I have 2 v-1's. That is where I have mine set at (L). However I do get a false laser hit (one hit) don't know from what but usually at the Bencia bridge or at bridge toll booths.

I'm thinking of getting a V1 as well but curious about the laser detection, how much warning do you get or does it go off when you are hit and then it's too late?

It goes off when you are hit. No warning whatsoever. That's true for all laser detectors, not just V1.

I am getting them more now and understand other cars with adaptive cruise control or LED lights maybe setting off false laser alarms on V-1.

Could be LED lights from other cars indeed.

Best practice is not to speed. I have a valentine one radar/Blendmount/dashtronix. Works great but it isn't always bullet proof.

Probably is. I do have it in Logic mode which cuts down radar false alarms actually I don't get those no more since I have switched to logic mode. Now I just get laser false alarms.

I get occasional false laser alarms also on my V1. The thing that irritates me more than that, is that I get strong false K band alarms from the traffic flow sensors on some freeways despite being in L mode. (I think it's worse during commute hours as other times when I drive through those same areas, I don't get the false alarms). I have an older model V1 that doesn't have the filter for that problem.

V1 has an update for this.

I updated my three units late last year to get this and the traffic sensor alerts are gone.

Yeah, I have thought about the update but I'm not sure that update alone is worth the $200 upgrade cost. I have been waiting for them to come out with other upgrades to justify the cost.

I hear you, but man, those sensors on 680/880 were enough to push me over the edge and spend my money.
