I've not left home without a V1 for the last 16 years or so. I have three of them today.
I just got the Bluetooth connection module and have been playing with their app, and the 3rd party YaV1. Pretty cool features.

V1, my buddy had an escort passport and we put them side by side, the V1 literally picked up KA about a mile before the passport did...

I have a Beltronics that is about 12 years old. Works great for ka and lazer, detects from front and rear and has good range. On autoscan doesn't pick up too much junk. However, if buying today would consider Beltronics or V1. I like the idea that the V1 lets you know which direction the radar is coming from.

V1's in both the vette and the truck. Both on Blend Mounts. Don't leave home without it.

Escort Passport 9500i. I like that it has GPS and learns where auto doors are and blocks them. It's blocks on location and type of signal.
