Default Best place to mount and balance tires in Southbay?

My original runflats are at 20,000 miles mark and need to be changed quite soon. Any recommendations for the best place in South bay to change tires (and good balancing)? I heard good things about Abel chevrolet dealership but that seems to be quite far. The dealers that I tried (Fremont, San Jose) are so bad, I would not trust them to change anything.

I was planning to jack up the car, remove the wheels and take them in a truck to the tire-changing place.

P.S. The car is not raced, it is a daily driver.

I use America's tire on Brokaw, and frequently work directly with the manager (David Gee).

I second America's Tire and David Gee. Great prices and they are accustomed to working on Corvettes.

They did not remove my previous wheel weight residue though. I did mention that I did not want the barrels scratched, soooo I guess I got want I wanted. Still I tried myself with every known product I had and still mostly the adhesive is present.

I have comp grey rims and the barrels are painted.

I always use these folks:

http://www.bigwheels.net/

The best service, the best equipment, dedicated to doing it right, and they DO NOT hurt your wheels. Period. And they are a small place, not a volume chain - you'll deal with the same installer every time you go there.

Recommended. Make an appointment, though.

I go to Sounds of Speed in Santa Clara, 45$ for 2 tires and 90$ for 4 tires. Very nice honest guys there. I'm very picky where I take my car because of worrying about people taking my car for a joy ride, but they let you go test drive your own car on the work they do.

I use America's tire on Stevens Creek.. they jacked it up on all sides by hand.. and popped the trunk and hood. They've done all my cars. Ask for Justin.. he'll set u up.

Boomer,

I know this is old, but wanted to post how I did it to my comp grays. I used my thumbs and rolled it off, if done slowly ( and painfully ) the adhesive comes off with it.
