Default Best roads for a nice spirited drive? Central Valley area

So, after being a Porsche guy my whole life, I fell prey to the new Stingray and just picked it up.

Looking for a nice drive to bring this new beast in! We are located in Stockton/Modesto area and was thinking up and over to mono lake, through Yosemite and north on 395 to 88 and back down to five...

My brother bought the blue one....

Thoughts? Or ideas?

Big fire around Yosemite so I'd take 108 or 4 over to 395. Also stop in at Calaveras Big Trees State Park if you take 4 and take a walk thru the north grove. You won't regret it. Some of the largest old growth redwoods in the world.

152 to 166 to 25 south... Can then take 168 either to 5 or 101 and work your way back north, or work your way down to 41/46 for some more good scenic twisties.

should be beautiful. Really want to enjoy the twisty's without fear of other cars or the CHP....do Laguna Seca or Thunderhill Raceway....a lot faster and a lot safer.

I wish i could. Talked to them this morning.. no top, no go.

No rollover protection at all...so we are a no-go on tracks. That was my very first thought!

Thunderhill was my first choice....

track, you would completely agree. Rarely happens, but when it does it is nice to have a roof. Drive safe and enjoy the car. I am looking forward to my trip over Tioga.

Let me know what/when you decide. I am also in the Modesto area and am always looking for reasons to take my car out. I like to cut through 84 on my way to 17 to hit the coast but there is always traffic. PCH is always a great trip. And the Hooked on Driving trip mentioned above sounds interesting. I need to find a little more info on that.

In the Fresno area, 211, powerhouse, tollhouse and out 180 near Kings Canyon. The Beaver Bar and grill is a great destination.

We sure will! Road trips are always more fun with more cars...

PCH is great I agree, just quite a drive from here when the mountain passes beckon...
