GMC Dealership for Service
Today was the last day we'll ever go to Dublin GMC.
Long story but basically 3/3 service calls on our brand new Acadia were HORRIBLE. These guys can really screw things up. I have taken my 2002 Z06 there before to get the oil changed...now I think I'll be looking elsewhere for that as well.
So after all the YELPING...and the calls to the owner...and letters to the corporate office of GM...where should I take my Acadia going forward?
I'm in Livermore...so closer the better but I really don't see much other than Concord/Fremont within 50 miles.
Thanks in advance.
I bought the GMC to show my support for the economy. I was treated 1000% better taking my 10 year old Lexus to the Lexus dealership. Apparently no good deed goes unpunished.

As others will soon chime in, Rich at Abel Chevrolet in Rio Vista will take care of you and your Acadia. It'll be a few extra miles, but well worth it.

yeah I knew I was gonna hear about Ritchie...
I always hope there is ONE MORE DEALERSHIP besides that one in N Cali that has any good reputation. Only cuz thats a day trip to get stuff done.
If thats all there is...then thats all there is.

I think little over an hour should do it.

I am in Danville and all my GM vehicles go to Abel. Call and talk with Richie and he may be able to offer you other options for getting the car to them. I bought my 08 Z from Dublin and I couldn't get off the lot fast enough. I wont even test drive there.

Abel for us!
All four of our vehicles are GM. Three go there for service and repairs. The 4th, 2013 Impala, will be going when the parts for the ignition switch fix are available and the mileage for service rolls around.
It is a 2.5 hour trip but the peace of mind is worth it.

I know it is quite a bit further, but I won't go anywhere but Steve's Chevrolet in Oakdale. The Service Manager has been there for over 25 years and has been MORE than helpful to me and anyone I know.

I've heard much about the steady decline in the quality of service from Dublin Chevy. I don't know what is going on there? If you want an alternative for your Acadia, you should know there is a Chevy dealership in Tracy (a little closer than Rio Vista). I've heard good inputs about them. However, if you have a Corvette, you'd be nuts not to take it to Abel in Rio Vista.

Now that the pain of the last service call is over...I'll be contacting Abel for future services.
Thanks again for everyone's input.

I realize that there has to be one dealership that it is the best, but it irritates me that there aren't more that can at least earn a satisfactory rating.

1. The percentage of Abel's clientele that is Corvette owners is (far?) greater than that of most dealerships.
2. Corvette owners, on the whole, have higher expectations - servicing is what's done to the car and not to the owner.
Rich and Abel get this concept and work hard to put it into practice. (Most?) other dealers seem to see Corvette as "just another car" and their owners as "finicky nuisances." Both may be true but the smart dealer makes sure that their representatives say the right things and cater to those (relatively simple) wants/needs.
Here's what Abel does:

The result is what you see.
Reward the good, punish the bad.
