A few of us stayed in the Motel 6 last year and it was fine. This year we are going to stay in the Baymont Inn & Suites (night of the 22nd) to give it a try. Look forward to meeting you there. Keith

The Baymont Inn is also right next door to some good Mexican food and drinks. If you tell the waiter your staying at the Baymont you also get a 10% discount on your food.

I tried to free up my schedule for this event but couldn't swing it... next year for sure... all Corvette track day would be awesome and I'd like to meet some local CF members.

Good news is I'm running the 5 mile track with NCRC on Oct. 10th. Did a couple parade laps when that section first opened this summer and looking forward to driving it at speed.

I'll be out with NCRC on the 10th as well see you there! Yellow C5Z #24.

As for HOD I'll think about it Richie, it's always been a little $$$ for my taste. Hook it up with the famous richie discount!

Will you be there both days rich?

Thanks for the discount tip at the Mexican restaurant. We ate there last year and it was really good. It will be even better saving 10%.

Default Motel 6 is OK. The nicest is the Holiday Inn Express. Niether are expensive.

There will be Corvettes in every lot...like a mini show. Relax and have fun at the event...everyone is nervous their first day on track.

A little clarification: Thursday is Corvettes Only (if they get enough to sign up) on the 3 Mile Track, Friday is open to everyone and is on the 5 Mile track.

You can get spray on and peel off paint protectors now. Here's an example:

TrakTape. Information is on the HOD website. It is like ClearBra, but thinner...works great. Order a roll. Cheap protection.

So what run group will everyone be in? I'll be in C. Stock black 08Z except R888's, Raybestos brake pads, and DRM shocks.

During the day it is possible to make some changes, but drivers of the same skills need to be in the same group for everyone to be safe and have fun. All Corvettes are fast.

The best way to quickly get faster is run with faster drivers. It's a good opportunity to pick up their lines and braking points. On that note I'll be in C too

For those running on the 10th with NCRC, look forward to seeing you guys! I'll be out there with Mike (Mikymu on the forum), just look for the Orange and Blue Carbon Editions with wing. If you have the chance stop by and say hi!
