I'm too slow to run with the big boys... lol. In any case, I'll have to work, so no go for me.

Being my first time, I'm going beginners with my friend that has a '13 GT Mustang. Did 1st autox in Salinas n 1st 1/4 mile drag at Sonoma Raceway recently (12.2 with intake n axle backs). See you guys there, just not on the track. I'll be up there one day, just at a slower pace because work and funds and lack of experience.

It looks like there is a 80% chance of rain at Thunderhill on Thursday. Is everyone that signed up for the track day still planning to attend? Will they run sessions in the rain or wait until the rain stops before running sessions?

I have no desire to run in the rain... I think I'd be hard pressed to keep it together with good traction let alone adverse conditions.

Are there rain checks for HOD events?

Default Yes sessions are run in the wet or dry unless track personnel determine

Remember that we are running the 3 mile Thunderhill Thursday and that track dries out incredibly fast. So having some intermittent showers etc. is not something that I would be too concerned about especially if you are running on treaded tires.

I guess i'm going to find out what it's like to run in the rain. I hope we have some dry sessions. Always an adventure.

I think that I can slow down enough to navigate a wet track safely but I was more concerned about driving in the rain with the windows down making a mess of the interior of my car.

My buddy Al (RocketJ) called Dev at HOD last evening. Dev told Al that we are running rain or shine. The only exception is if it is an absolute down pour and the cars are hydroplaning. And no, the windows won't be down in the rain. See you all for lunch in Maxwell today or at the track tomorrow. It will be fun. Keith

Radar is sowing less of a chance now then they did the last couple days. Also, I watched the local news last night and the rain projections only show a few showers passing over in the AM hours and then clearing up. Hoping that is the case.

See everyone tomorrow.

Hope you boys had decent weather.

I got excused from Jury Duty so that's like a win, right?
