URGENT, please: need competent MOBILE detailer by this Friday (09/19) - Redwood City
Good evening to all. I have ordered a 15 C7 that has arrived at the dealership. Since they do not have a qualified detail department, I have asked them just to PDI the car, and not to wash/detail it at all. You all know what dealership details usually consist of; often times inducing marring, RIDS, hologramming, etc... to the paint. The problem is, before I purchase the car, I need to have a clean car, in order to be able to inspect the paint for any defects, flaws, or issues; as this cannot be done so effectively with a dirty vehicle.
I just need a good competent mobile detailer to thoroughly wash (foam gun) the car and decontaminate the paint with Iron X and clay bar or pad; also with a good interior wipe down to remove any grease, oils, etc... left behind by the PDI technician. So basically, NO paint correction, polishing, waxing, or sealing. I just need the bare, clean, decontaminated virgin paint to inspect. That is it.
While we tried to secure this service, Jeff McGoveran is too busy to do so, and so is Bob Willis.
Unfortunately, this is on a short notice. I would need this to be completed by this Friday at the dealership in Redwood City, as I need to pick up the car on Saturday. Yes, I know that it is on a short notice, but there is not much work to be done. I would appreciate any assistance. Please kindly post or PM me your recommendations. Thank you in advance.

Jeff is the best and has been doing my cars for years. I called him 3 weeks ago to do the wife's new caddy and he was books a month out. So he's doing the wife's car next month.
We're did you buy the car? Boardwalk?

15 Z51, M7, Laguna Blue, Black wheels, yellow calipers, carbon badge package, carbon flash mirrors and spoiler.
The issue is logistics. I live around 170 miles away.

Yes sir. I actually was the one that directly introduced and connected Jeff with Tim at Boardwalk Chevrolet back in 2006; hence he started detailing for them. However, as far as I am aware, Boardwalk now only exclusively uses a new "machine" called Autobulter to detail all Corvettes. This machine applies wax and a sealant. Due to this reason, I requested this time around that the car only be PDI'd, and not washed or detailed at the dealer. I prefer only to have a competent detailer working on my car.

Auto Butler is a service they sell. You pay at the time you buy your car. You can then bring your car in every six months and have them run it through Auto Butler. They did a complimentary Auto Butler for me last year. They screwed up somehow, and my car had a bunch of streaks on it. I can't believe they would bring the car to me with it looking so bad. The prep guy took care of the car the following day, and it looked fine.
I don't recommend Auto Butler.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and recommendations. And yes, Auto Butler is awful for your car...the whole process of it... I won't go into it, but anyone would be strongly advised to refuse this "treatment".
I have been pulling extreme hours (80-100+) for the last 18 months. Since we didn't really have a wet winter last year, business never slowed, and the nice cars were staying out to play. I just opened my first shop and right off the bat it was packed....enough so that I had to work through the construction/setup/moving. Because I am not a volume shop, I do tend to schedule far in advance. I do my best to keep the wait as short as possible, but when a request for work is given with very little notice, its hard to make that happen.
