Default Window tinting recommendation for a C7, please.

Hello folks, per the thread title, I please need a recommendation for window tinting for my 15 C7. I live in Central California, had it done here locally, but it did not turn out so well; hence, I need to have it redone. I am looking for a no excuse type of place that strives for excellence and perfection, and that will make it right, no matter what (no bubbles, dirt stuck under film, scratches, proper cut and fit, film laying down properly over the flags on the rear C7 window, etc...). The closer to Central California, the better; but I am willing to drive to the right place. Please post or PM. Thank you.

Not sure where you are in central Calif but these guys have been tinting my cars (including my C6GS) and friends' cars for years... the work is always outstanding. Appt needed and usually well in advance.

^^^Thanks Jim. There is another place in Sacramento with the same name. Is this a franchise with the same ownership, or are they different entities operating with the same name?

This place has done my cars since 1996. Excellent work and high end dealers send their customers cars here.

For some unknown reason I was not able to get their web page up.

Thanks Boomer, you are correct, I checked on other locations as well, and their website is down. Perhaps they went out of business?

only place I go. Its done right and done right the first time. You need to make an appointment. because Matt gets busy. Yes Rocky Mountain is a franchise but nobody that I've found compares to Matt. Just look at his Yelp reviews, you wont be disappointed.

Thanks guys. I have been communicating with Matt. He is super nice and appears knowledgeable. The price tag will cost an arm and a leg though. I was quoted $150.00 to remove the current recent tint, and $419.00 to re-tint with Formula One Ceramic Pinnacle Series.

Are you able to remove the tint yourself and save the 150?

Really crappy that the tint you had done is that bad..sorry to hear that.

Looks like other's have chimed in... I did not realize there were other Rocky Mtn Tints. Matt in Livermore is THE guy for tinting. This thread made me think about the vehicles he has tinted for me and recalled he did a GMC Yukon for me back in '96. Truck is nearly dead now with ~230k miles, lots of snow, towing, and kids learning to drive but the tinted windows are still good...

Thanks again guys. I really do not know how to remove tint, so I will not venture into it Although in situations like these, I wish that I knew how to

Thanks Jeff. However, they said that they do not tint C7's. Something to do with their IR film not being compatible.

Replied in the other thread! I'm not here much in the middle of our season. Ours were done at Classy Glass in Antioch. Guarantee if mine didn't come out EXCELLENT my wife would not have gone there when her C7 came in!

I agree. They fixed a botched local job and the tint is two years old now. Still beautiful. He is the only one to touch my tinting needs.
