Wow that's not very many runs on Sat. What do you do the other 8 hours of the day? Are you just sitting in a staging line the entire time? Or are u in a run group so you can go back to the pit area and relax for a while?

Think I might consider switching to Sunday...because I think I have to make 3 prelim runs just to get qualified for the 200mph drive license.

I thought that you only had to make one 150 mph qualifying run but I'm not sure. Yeah, there is a lot of time sitting in line (in the pit area) waiting to move to the front.

Does our cruise control work at 150, 160 and 180?

LOL, I'm not sure about 150, 160 or 180 but I can tell you for sure that it works at 120.

Good idea Chuck. I think I will load a new book on my MP3 player to listen to in the down time.

They have a portable video games and an entrainment van.

Most of the rest relax and bench race.

I believe registration is full now

Default Mojave Magnum

Just a quick update. The Saturday only run slots are now sold out. As of yesterday, they still have 5 open slots for Sunday runs.

Default Mojave Magnum

Good luck and be safe at Mojave this weekend guys. I wish that I had signed up for both days now instead of just for Sunday. The weather forecast is for a 20 mph tailwind on Saturday and a 8 mph headwind on Sunday.

I better qualify fast on Saturday so I have a chance at the 200 Club.
From what I have been told a stock ZR1 should top out at a little over 192 mph in the 1.5 mile run.

If that 20 mph tailwind holds for your 2nd pass on Saturday, I would think that you will make it in the 200 mph club.

Anyone have a pair of nomex shoes I can borrow to pass tech inspection? Drove up here tonight from San Diego and realized I forgot them...have everything else. I figure I only need to have them during tech for a few minutes and then can give them back to you.

Almost I hit 195 on the third run. Not bad for a stock ZR1. Talk about a rush.

Wish it went quicker today. No chance for even a fourth pass.

Sorry to hear that you didn't hit the 200 mark today Chuck. I thought that with the nice tail wind that you would hit it for sure. Our group got through tech this evening just fine so will see you out there tomorrow morning.

How did your buddy do with the stock C7-Z06 today?

Look forward to getting out there myself tomorrow. I forgot my good suit so limited to 175. will have to work hard to stay under 150 on the first rookie run.

That was definitely the most fun you can have with your pants on.
Stock 04Z06 BTW I hit the rev limiter in 5th @ just before the 1.5 trap.
