C6Z Stolen

C6Z Stolen
So, I found out yesterday that my Z06 was stolen from Dublin Chevrolet while waiting to have the heads repaired. The car disappeared sometime between Saturday night and Wednesday morning. If you could keep an eye out for it, or if you see any suspicious parts being sold here or on craigslist it would be much appreciated.
I posted a picture below, but the two most distinguishing things about the car were the CCW T1000 wheels and the 3 yellow track stickers on the rear passenger side of the spoiler (T-hill, LS, Sonoma).
If you see anything shoot me a PM on here so I can get the info over to Dublin PD.
Thanks,
Erik

This is not the first time this has happened there. The other one I know of was a silver 09 Z06 a few years ago.
1 huge reason why Abel Chevrolet in Rio Vista is worth the drive.
I am very sorry to hear this and will for sure keep my eyes open.

Was the 09 for sale by te dealer or a customers? I test drove a silver '09 in 9/13 that was there before I bought my '08 a few weeks later. It had higher miles and in worse condition for the same asking price.

It didn't just "disappear." Sounds like they don't have any honor or accountability whatsoever. And in all their fleet out on the line, it was your vehicle that was stolen (off the lot I presume) and it took them 5 days to discover this?
I call BS. Someone's working on the inside.
Why the hell did they leave your Vette sitting outside? Or are you telling us it was stolen from inside their maintenance bay?
Something sounds suspicious to me.

Not sure how much detail I can post, but I am referring to the service lot... the one they keep locked after hours, not where they keep their for sale inventory. The car was moved using the key, which I was told was not left in the vehicle. From what the officers told me the surveillance is poor across the entire dealership.
The car has actually been there since March 20th waiting for the heads to arrive. The Sat-Wed delay was because their Corvette tech doesnt work Sunday or Monday. It was parked on Saturday, and no one checked on it until the heads arrived this Wednesday. The joke is going to be on the thief when the valve drops and that motor grenades.
So, yea the whole thing is pretty sketchy. I'm just glad I have a very helpful insurance rep.

Sorry about the loss of your car. You would think that the lot should have been alarmed and covered with video cameras. There are business out there with a lot less valuable products that are secured better. Just don't understand how this could have happened without inside help!

Damn that sucks sorry to hear. Sounds like that dealership is going to lose a lot of business, and they owe you a corvette
I agree on the inside job. I wouldnt be leaving my car there until they had parts on hand.

It was a silver 09 that was in for service. It was also purchased from them. I think it had less the 2500 miles on it. It was recovered with very little damage and has been back in the owners possession. I think it was recovered with in a week.

The car is still missing, and I'm moving forward with the insurance claim. Looks like the dealers insurance is covering everything.
At this point nobody from the dealership has asked about getting me back into another vette, so I doubt I'll ever have another GM product in my house. The first thing I said to my wife after I found out was "I bet this s**t doesn't happen at the Porsche dealership." So I'll probably be going that route.
