Good morning everyone. It is that time again to take my vette in to pass SMOG. I took it last time to Abel Chevrolet and everyone there was great but it is a drive for me.

I was hoping to find a local place near me that wouldn't get freaked out when they saw the vortech supercharger under the hood. It is CARB approved, I have no headers or anything like that. It passes SMOG just fine.

Any suggestions??

Abel Chevy does smog testing? Didn't know a dealership did anything like that.

As long as you have the CARB sticker it shouldn't be a problem. I use Carmichael Smog, down the street from my shop. They're test only and have never given me any trouble.

If everything on your car is legal and can pass smog without any issues, just pick any smog shop.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I agree that it shouldn't be that big of a deal as long as CARB stickers are available but it has been an issue in the past.

Any SMOG locations that you guys can recommend in the Folsom and El Dorado Hills area?

You should give Bennie a call at Autostart in Elk Grove. He does smog and he's a performance shop doing a lot of GM products and also a forum member.
