What a tragedy. Don't drink and drive and keep the speeds down in residential areas. Even good people can make bad decisions and end up killing others and ruining their own lives. Be careful out there.

Street racing in a residential area while intoxicated. Who would have guessed something could go wrong?

That is so unfortunate for the families involved. One bad decision can ruin so many peoples lives all at once. We just did some work on the Stingray owner's car not too long ago and he seemed like a good guy. Tragic ending to this one.

That genius has already bailed out of jail and is sitting home enjoying life.
The family he plowed into will bury two this week. One little kid was celebrating his First Communion in the back yard and nearly lost his life too.

F'ing idiot takes two lives and gives all Corvette owners a bad rep - especially when the media goes out of their way to emphasize the vehicle make. Funny how they don't typically do that when it's a "regular" vehicle........ It wasn't the car that was at fault here!

I must have missed it, but I didn't see in any of the articles where they mentioned the make of the car. I agree with you they usually do though.

(my bad just read a story that clearly stated that he was driving a 2014 Chevrolet corvette)

In one of the early news reports they did mention it was a Corvette. That was it. Was only mentioned once in that report.

Very tragic indeed.

OMG you mean people will now look over at Vette drivers now with a look of disgust and displeasure that they are obviously reckless? Really?
Just last week I saw on the news a person drunk in a Yugo killed someone and now everytime I see a Yugo I stay clear of them...see how stupid that sounds?
This Vette driver should have know to never drive drunk for obvious reasons but the biggest apparently is he is a Vette owner and must live up to Vette ownership standards.

Weeeeeell, the TV news story I saw tonight specifically referenced a driver being reckless at a high rate of speed in a "high performance Corvette". So, yeah, "Really", some will do as you state above.

I doubt you will ever hear a reference to a high performance Yugo... see how silly that sounds ?

You might wanna try getting some more up to date less juvenile retorts than "OMG" and "Really"..................... you probably are well advised to stay clear of Yugos, 'tho....

What an asshat. He should have died instead of the mother and daughter he selfishly took out.

My guess is he has a new screen name here so he won't be ridiculed like crazy. Every forum here has a post with this story and everyone is bashing him like crazy...

More info...

Apparently, this guy pleaded no contest to a DUI in Sacramento 12 years ago. In Livermore, many residents have complained about his reckless driving and excessive speeding.

Douchebag.

So true. It's all over the local news here in Livermore. I don't even want to take my Corvette out of my garage for fear someone will associate me with him.

They are also bashing the Livermore Wine Festival as he was there earlier in the day.

Hey Reporters it is not the Corvette or the Wine Festival that made this happen. It was the Doucebag.

I recently read a woman got 30 years for a DUI where she killed 2 people after she sent a text :2 drunk 2 Care". Hopefully he will get the same.
