2001 C5Z Street/Track/Auto-x car FS
SOLD
I picked up this 2001 Speedway White C5Z last year and made some repairs and mods for the track and auto-x. Now I'm hoping to pass it along to someone who wants to use it. The price is $15,000 and will include some extras. Car is registered through July 2016 and I have the title. Here's the setup:
2001 C5Z salvage title (front end collision fully repaired. The only damage I can see is to the frame rails in front of the front bumper which have been straightened out. Car aligns and drives fine.
- Strong LS6 engine with good oil pressure. This engine feels particularly strong to me. I'm guessing 380 whp. I have street tuned it with a PLX wideband (included) but you might want to have Synergy dyno tune it to make it perfect.
- VB and P solid motor mounts
- Kooks long tubes and mid pipes with stock C5Z Ti exhaust. I'll also included 3" high flow cats and the full stock exhaust.
- Roll bar and harnesses
- Corbeau seats with harnesses and stock belts.
- Custom Al radiator (similar to Ron Davis racing radiator)
- C6Z front brakes and C5Z front brakes moved to the rear. Extra rotors and pads included
- 2004 MN12 tranny in the car plus a 2nd MN12 tranny just rebuilt by Abel Chevrolet
- New LS6 clutch with Fidanza aluminum flywheel and remote bleeder.
- New SKF hubs in front
- Halltech air filter intake
- Pfadt coilovers with spherical tops and Eibach springs. I replaced the pfadt springs with Eibach which provide much more travel before coil binding.
- Hotchkis front sway bar and T1 adjustable rear bar
- 19/20" TSW wheels with new Michelin pilot super sport tires
- Tinted windows and new windshield.
- Brand new in the box magnaflow catback exhaust
- Brand new OMP racing seat XL
- Some custom stereo with bluetooth and large sub woofer in back.
Probably more stuff that I'm forgetting. But this is a good start for a hpde/auto-x car for a very good price. Thanks.

Edit: also installed some VB&P solid motor mounts. These make a huge difference IMO. No more engine slop when shifting or turning. And they lowered the engine about 3/8"s.

This car isn't perfect, but it will make a good multi-purpose car that you can beat on without having to worry about hurting your nice street car.

Replied, thank you.
I had to look that car up because I've never heard of it. Looks like a fun little car especially with the 6 speed . I would be tempted to trade, but we already have a VW Golf Tdi at home which is very similar.
A father and son who time trial with NASA Norcal are coming down this weekend to look at the car and most likely take it home. I'll update this thread either way on Saturday. Thanks.
