Default Sonoma Wine Country

Who's been to the Sonoma Wine Country? Wife and I are thinking about a 4 day visit, but we have never been there. Been to Napa, but not Sonoma. So, anyone who has been there have any suggestions for 1) which region to visit, 2) where to stay and 3) any other words of wisdom?

My wife & I love Healdsburg---cute little town, plenty of tasting rooms right around the central plaza, lots of wineries close by, and beautiful scenery in the surrounding area.

Default Sonoma

I lived in Santa Rosa for 12 Years and still have a house there while I am in Reno. Santa Rosa is an ideal place to stay to allow easy access to the coast and some great wineries in the Dry Creek area. I am a total wino and foodie so if you would like some help, we could talk on the phone so that I can learn more about your interests and help you out an itinerary together. I can be reached at

You can text me on this number as well.

Just north of Healdsburg is the Andersen valley area. Tons of family owned Wine there. Very well known to any area residents. Visit Raymond Burr's (ironsides TV show)winery too. They have a little museum of sorts for him. Most of the roads are right off of 101.
