This happens every time I get everything setup and ready to go. Then it rains. And then I blew my motor up last time. It sucks because its gonna be hot next Wednesday.

I was hoping the rain stop by the afternoon, sadly it didn't. Let us know if you guys decide to head out next Wednesday.

I couldnt hook worth a crap. And it was 99 degrees. Best of the day was a 11.61@120 with a 1.61 60ft usually its down in the low 1.5x to high 1.4x. I did race a tesla P85D and that was a hell of a run. 691hp dual motor one. I got out on him about a car. Mid track he got out about a car and a half on me and i was able to pull him back in to his front door but i ran out of space. Heat doesnt affect those like it does our cars. I did a 11.3@122 2 weeks ago when it was cooler. It was funny after he called me out to race and won he called out my buddies hci c6z (first time taking his car to the track) and in the tesla owners words "He flew past me like he was from another world"
He couldnt get his car to stick so he bested a 11.3@130. And sadly my other buddies ls3 threw a rod.
They did something wierd to the track and thank god i was kinda paying attention because my car never did this even when it was cammed. They repaved or did something to the first 80-100 feet and at first it was hooking but then after that my car was skating around and it never does that. I felt more comfortable racing on the track when it was damp than how it felt earlier today.

David, thanks for the report and congrats on another good set of passes. Sorry to hear about your friend's motor and the fact that they messed with the track surface. These cars can get out of hand quick when they step out, can't they?
Sorry I missed it and can't wait to get out there again.

They can get out of shape but not as bad as c5's do. Im probably going to start going to sonoma or just showing up really late for sac. No use wasting my hoosiers while its hot.

From what everybody is saying Sonoma has a lot of head winds. Most folks come to sac to better their track time. I would recommend waiting for cooler weather or coming later like you mention.
