The more the merrier. We're trying to fill this thing up.

If anybody has questions that I can help answer, please let me know.

Yes, beginners are more than welcome and HOD will have instructors to work with you. The event will be help rain or shine, but we've had good weather the last few years and it's a week earlier than normal this year. As far as I know, there are no refunds based on weather, but that is a question for Hoked on Driving.

Right on, Rich. And it takes a very severe day for the track to let HOD off the hook for weather. It's happened, but it is rare. I don't think anybody really wants an inclement track day because it also impacts the social aspect, but the veterans know a wet track is an opportunity to work on car control. As a frequent beginner lead, I'd love it if EVERY track day started wet! It makes for far better car control exercises! And before anyone says, "just wet down the skidpad" I have one word . . . drought!

I'm just hoping that you guys fill both days so all the non-Corvettes have to come to Buttonwillow on the 16th. That scheduling faux pax you can blame on me and Ken. We just took what dates we could get. But it also means I can't come to the HOC event.

Only a couple weeks away and the event has now been opened up to all makes and models. We only have about 55 Corvettes signed up, but I still think we can get more.

We spent all last weekend at Thunderhill with HOD and I was reminded multiple times why they are the premier group to run with. Catered lunch and adult beverages provided after the cars were all off track. The coaches, staff and organization is second to none.

Come on, sign up and let's have some fun with our Corvette brothers and sisters.

Just an FYI, the event has been opened up to all makes and models. We wanted to fill each group so the remaining ~25 spots are now open to all.

Tell your friends with a fast P car, Mustang or anything else they think is fast to come and join us.

What's a good time to show up at the track for a beginner? Couldn't find it in the hod site.
