Great SMOG Shop in Sacramento!
Good afternoon everyone. I just had my 98 vette pass smog and decided to give a local smog shop a try. It is always a bit nerve-wrecking since I don't drive the vette much and never know if this time it may not pass.
The shop is Master Tech Smog & Repair (5851 Fair Oaks Blvd Carmichael, CA 95608). The shop is run by a husband and wife. Brian and Shannon were awesome. They are fellow vette owners as well (they own a 2007 C6 coupe). Very respectful, helpful, and great customer service.
By far the best experience I have ever had at a smog shop. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area looking to get smog done. Biran also knows his stuff as he was a auto tech at Ford for years.
Here is the Yelp reviews of their shop: http://www.yelp.com/biz/master-tech-...r-carmichael-3
Figured I would share. Good luck!!

I would add in Autostart in Elk Grove. Bennie at Autostart has been in business doing smog’s for a long time. They are also a performance shop specializing in GM Performance with an in house dyno doing tunes as well. Bennie himself has several GM performance cars including a C6 Z06, C4 ZR-1 & Camaros. Check them out:

Can anyone recommend a Corvette-friendly smog shop in the SF south-bay area?
At the last place I took mine, the guy started the test while the parking brake was on... (I didn't know how fast I could move until that happened...)

Glad to here Gary. I had a great experience and will be taking all my cars there from now on. It is rare these days that good customer service is given. I definitely appreciate it. Their prices are also very fair (cheaper than any place else I looked at...and no Corvette tax).

I took my 07 Chevy Duramax there yesterday for smog based on these reviews. Two of the nicest people you will ever meet. Even their son is a good kid. I had an electrical problem due to a bonehead move on my part and instead of charging me to find it, he set me up with his probe and let me go at it. Their shop is an old gas station with a two stall garage. I was in and out in no time. I will be a repeat customer.

Hey guys this is Brian and Shannon, owners of Master Tech Smog & Repair, and we just wanted to say thank you for the kind words. We have really enjoyed meeting each one of you. It's nice to meet other Vette owners.

Hi Brian and Shannon, I stopped by in January, but you were on vacation. I had to go to a competitor because I needed it smogged that day. See you next time.
