My car was stolen last night and is probably in Oakland

Glad it was found and so soon. Sure hope the damage is minor and they catch the bastards! Someone had to know the car was in the trailer.
Probably will not know if there are fingerprints...and that does not help unless they are in the system. In the old days...they would lope a horse thief and drag them behind the horse before hanging them. Could we do the same and run them down the 1/4 mile a couple of times!

Absolutely horrible and heartbreaking!! They obviously grabbed the engine. Just remember the person who called you from the police dept. wasn't the officer who recovered it, so don't blame them for not knowing too much about the condition. I hope the insurance end of it for you isn't too harsh on you.

Sorry for the loss, I know the feeling of having something taken. A thief stole my Viper about a month ago and luckily I was able to track him down (no thanks to the police) and ended up having him arrested and hit with 16 felonies. Just disgusting what kind of people are out there who can't work for something and feel they need to take it from someone else.

I feel just sick for you. Terrible.

So they steal the engine and then burn it to the ground......slight damage! Hanging too good if they are ever caught!
My son had his Camaro stolen years ago and it showed up in Oakland 4 months later....again slight damage. We got there and there was nothing left. Everything that could be taken off was gone....just a shell. Not even $5.00 worth of steel at a metal recyclers. Signed over the title and walked away. We did find a checkbook under some things that were left if the car. Had to belong to one of the bad guys....but PD could never put together anything on him...or didn't want to take the time.
SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS!

Those pictures just make me sick to my stomach. I hope they catch the bastards that did that.

Christopher...there are no words that I could ever say how terrible I feel about this.
If I can find a way to find either a 12 bolt or a Dana 44 to replace my weak Dana 36 in my 87 C4, I will let you have it to use for the rest of the Summit ET Series races at Sonoma as well as the Division 7 Summit ET Finals in October in Fontana.
Let me know if you would be interested? If so, will start looking for the necessary parts to help get you to the races. It runs in the high 12's...

Christopher,
So sorry to hear about this. I hope you can get back in the game soon. I'm glad you were not hurt, the car can be replaced. Mean people suck!
I hope to see you racing soon.
