how do they handle fast cars out there without all the crazy safety stuff? i'd love to hit the track with my car but at 850whp and with my hoosiers I think I should trap like 140mph and hopefully higher and be in the 10s. But I am not going to put a cage or scatter shield etc on my car since it's really just my fun street car.

I've seen the rule for 08+ cars but the letter of the law says "unaltered" and i've heard infineon and other tracks enforce it fairly strictly.

i'd love to bring my car out to beat on it but not super interested in letting off half way or taking time off work just to get kicked out after 2 runs....

At sac if your gonna run a 9 or trap above 135 they will enforce the cage rule. Ive run 10.5x with a helmet and fire jacket no issues. besides one time they were being strict.
