Default Anyone Going to Shift Sector Test & Tune on Feb28th?

Just curious what other local vette guys are going to be there?

I'm pretty sure should be a lot more runs than past events too especially with all the exotic guys running Saturday and then Sundays I always get like 2-3x the runs I get on Saturday. Hopefully weather is good.

I'll be there on Sunday. I believe the exotics only run on Saturday with us lesser cars running on Sunday.

Hopefully we will get more than 3 runs.

nice! be sure to head over and say what's up.

yeah, last time on Saturday I know a lot of people were pretty disappointed how few runs they got on Saturday, which is too bad because a lot of people come for only Saturday. A lot of the exotic and big dollar guys were taking a lot of time at the start and taking pics, cutting inline, etc and drug the whole event slower. Sunday was much faster though and I think on Saturday I got maybe 4-5 runs all day, in the line up basically the whole time, while Sunday I ended up making 9 passes I think. So hopefully this event is more like that since all the exotics will have already run

Are you inviting only those who know where this is held?

This 1/2 mile rolling start event will be held in Colinga. That's off highway 5 near Harris Ranch.

It is being sponsored by SHIFT-S3CTOR. Saturday the 27th will be for the high priced spread. Sunday the 28th will be for the rest of folks.

Hope you can make it.

Found it finally (no racetracks in Coalinga) and thanks but for me and all other verts, a roll bar is required even for a half mile run. For others interested,

Hey Terry - a 4 point cage is not required unless you go over 199 mph.

I didn't think your car was that fast

A four point cage is required for all cars over 199 but all verts require this no matter how fast or slow they run,

"All convertibles require roll over protection: either factory or an aftermarket roll bar"

Miatas have them, Mini Coopers have them...but not Chevy.

Sometimes it takes me awhile.

Not having a convertible I wasn't familiar with the term "Vert".

Just something to cross off the bucket list

We know the car can go fast but can we. That's the real challenge.

It's basically for fast cars. All the fast drivers hit the road course

Everyone has their own thing. Mine was doing 195 mph at Mojave. Oh you say the new ZO6 will top out at 185 mph. Sorry to hear that. back at you.

Hey let's do the Virginia City Hill Climb this summer. Now that's a road course. Mountains on one side of Highway 341 and cliffs on the other. 5.2 miles of pure pleasure or should I say for the weak of heart pure terror. Your challenge is, if you decide to take it, a time of 3:41 or better. I know you can do it. Just watch out for the mine shaft at the end of the long straight.
