For what it is worth Glacier Point road plowing is complete... They then run several caravans of NOPS trucks to make sure trees won't fall onto the road. Once they deem it safe they will open the road.
I can to tell you watching this for the last 20+ years this is an amazing first. The views from Glacier Point into the High Country this time of year are beyond spectacular.
Tioga Road is still unknown due to avalanche activity around Olmsted Point. They won't go near it until they blow up, using dynamite, to release the danger, or let it melt naturally.
I have seen them do both.

I am shocked as this is one of the earliest openings, I have seen with the level of snow we have had. but Glacier Point Road is going to be open Tuesday April 19th. Dang if I wasn't running my marathon on Sunday I would be all over this drive on Sunday. Go Do it!!!!!
