Default Best dealer in Sacramento for service

For the other Sacramento Vette owners, where do you take your car for service?
Sullivan?
Maita?
Folsom?
Kuni?
Just bought my new Stingray out of the area and getting ready for my first oil change. I would like to have one dealer for all my service and warranty if nec. Any comments?
Thanks

Don't take it anywhere else but Abel... Do a search and you will see Abel is the place to go... Best customer service, family owned and operated ,, and they support most all corvette clubs and events in the area.

Thanks. I wish I could make the trek to Abel, but thats 180 miles round trip from my house.

Folsom would be the closest, but I'm not sure how they will treat my car. They used to have a service guy I liked, but he's retired now.

For an oil change just take it to the closest Chevy dealer to you. If i had to pick I would go with Performance or Maita.

I live in Folsom and for an oil change I just go the Speedee near my house on Folsom/Auburn road. I just bring my own oil filter and they have always done a good job. It's also where I go for smog checks. If there is any other type of work to do on the car it goes to Abel. Nice drive on the river and I totally trust Rich and the crew.

Take the great river drive to Abel, don't want oil on your carpets or inside doors and stering wheel, then again go to Abel. Don't want a surprise scratch on finder near engine compartment then go see Abel. It's your Vette, just depends how picky you be?

It is now well over 400 miles to Abel for me, but that is the only place I will go for service on either of our C7's.

Abel is the best!

Always hear great things about Abel. But locally I always go to Chad at Performance. I followed Chad from Mike Daugherty to Performance Chevy. Been many years, no issues. I did go to Folsom once with my Suburban and got burned, never been back.

Well I wish I had the time to drive to Abel. If I ever need something besides an oil change, I will try them out. Working 6 -7 days a week I just didn't have 4 hours to make the trip this time.

I went to Folsom with an appointment. They were punctual and great with the car. Butch couldn't do enough to keep me happy. The best part was that the oil change area was right out in front where you could stand 10 feet from the car the whole time. Nothing was going to happen without me seeing it.

Pretty hard to beat for just an oil change.

Thanks for all the replies.

It was great. Nothing on the car. All they did was pull it forward 10 feet onto the lift and when they were done, 10 feet back off. Not sure what the 21Pt inspection is, but they did spend a lot of time under the car and under the hood doing something. I didn't ask what it was. I would have to check my paperwork. They checked and refilled all the tires. Some places are funny about you walking into the bay, so I also asked if I could get under the car myself (not like I have anyway to do it at home). They were fine with it and went under with me and pointed out some of the interesting technology.

The main comment is they were fine for an oil change and I really liked that it was right out front where I could stay with it and see what was happening. Also nice that they weren't going to just wash my car without asking.

I took mine to Corvette Care and got burned BAD! from then on it has gone to Abel! even if it becomes a 6 hour drive each way I would still only trust Abel! Luckily I'm not planning on moving any time soon so it is still only about an hour each way The only other place that gets to touch my Vette is Oil Stop in EG but that is strictly for Oil Changes I have known these guys for Many years.........even before I had a Vette and they have always treated me good. Other than that though It is strictly Abel!

I would have to say Abel is the best place to go, but Performance Chevy comes in at a very close second. I use Performance for all my service needs even though I purchased my last Vette at Abel.

Default Folsom thoughts

Two comments about Folsom:

First time I went there for my first oil change, I found a yellow smudge on the right rear tire and a scratch on my black Z51 rims.

I went back for a noise in V4 (slow learner, I know) They diagnosed a bad flexplate. Took three days to tear down and put back together and low and behold the noise was still there. A little help from my friends at the forum here and it turns out to be the AFM valve.

So needless to say, I am not a huge fan. Will be going to Abel

I`m not surprised. I had to learn that one the hard way myself.
