Default ThunderHill 5 Mile 3:00 Laps With Light Rain Sprinkles.

Last Friday a few of us got in for a private track day on the Thunderhill 5 mile. The track was wet in the morning and took about 2 hours to dry up. There were still a few sprinkles during the morning laps. I wanted a sub 3:00 lap so bad, but passing on each of the good laps and a few loose moments caused by the sprinkles in the air prevented it from happening.

I also only had my stock (worthless) rear spoiler on the car so it was a little loose all day. The predictive lap timer on the Solo showed a 2:58.xx at one point, but it didn't happen this time out. A 2:58 is definitely possible with the better spoiler and no traffic.

It's great to see you posting vids! Especially with data overlay. Great driving Rich. Funny how similar the conditions were when I was there last time with a damp/misty track. Your car would be super fast with a wing.

Thanks Bill. I finally stepped up the modern era and got a Smarty Cam to go with the SOLO DL.

I think the car would easily be 3-4 seconds faster, if not more with a proper wing and splitter. I did a couple laps in Ron's Carbon Z06 and was 4-5 MPH faster in T1, 4-5 MPH faster in T2 and 5-7 MPH faster in T8 from what I remember seeing on the speedo.

Hopefully we can get up to a track day together. Maybe Hooked on Corvettes in October.

That is awesome Rich Thanks for all the good work you guys put in on my ride. I hope to take my car out to the track one day soon.
I ride my R1 at the track all the time with TrackDaz but need to try it on 4 wheels.
