Hello Fellow N Cal members,

I am considering buying a C6 vette. Considering I am new to Vettes I was looking for some help. I am considering a vette at a local dealer I test drove and it seemed ok. However at certain times it seemed like I heard the vehicle misfire. Not sure if its the NPP exhaust fuse removal effect or an issue. The vette is low miles for the age and the car fax and GM report says that is has got few work done on it under warranty.

The dealer is willing to make a good deal on it. I am just hoping someone who knows vettes well can test drive it or see it to give me opinion on if its a safe buy or not.

The vette is 08 3LT with z51 and NPP. Checks all the boxes in my need. Just need to make sure it's good and nothing really wrong with it. I am in the Dublin area and if anyone around is willing to help please PM me and I can share more details.

If you are looking for a dealer to do a thorough inspection you will overwhelmingly get recommended to Abel Chevrolet but they are in Rio Vista. Yeah the drive may seem long but there is a reason nearly everyone here (many farther away than you) travel to go see them.

if you are looking for a local mechanic that knows Vettes inside and out and works on LS engines (and is the best tuner in the area) there is Synergy in Livermore. Rick is the owner there.

I'm asking 1000 over what my dealer is offering on a trade in. I KNOW
their selling price is going to be considerably over what I'm willing to sell for.

definitely ABEL !!!! It's worth the drive. They will go through EVERYTHING , when you leave you'll know what needs to be done or leave the car at the dealer. Also, id the dealer refuses to let you take it there and insists on his service folks, DON'T BUY

It's not. Why do u ask? Are they that bad? I know they are terrible wanting to make a sale. Is their service dept bad and if so where do u guys go?

They have had a few cars stolen off the lot and from what I remember they told the car owner to use their own insurance and the dealer washed there hands of it.

Abel is the place to go and they lock up all the Vettes in the shop at night.

Wow! Thats scary. how do they manage to save their own vettes. i went to them considering a C7 since many were going for $7-$8k off and was considering them. They wouldn't even care. Instead they said they want to sell trucks. It was a lame reason. Not sure how they manage to stay in business.

PRECISION MOTIVE in Hayward could do an inspection but you need to have someone take a look to see if the thing is worth taking it and having it inspected.

It looks like a well maintained low mileage car, no mods except for GM full width spoiler.
From the pictures and report it looks like a clean car.
