I met Carl several times though I had not seen him in years. Was a very nice guy. So sad to see him go, especially at this young age.

Condolences to his close friends and family. RIP

I've known Carl for over thirty years as he went to school with my sister. The reason I own a Corvette today was because Carl took me for a ride in his C5. I never really paid any attention to Corvettes before and the thought of owning one never even crossed my mind until I rode with Carl. I was so impressed as it changed my mind about them. I just emailed my sister last night for an update on Carl's condition and learned that his funeral was last Friday. Sorry I missed the services. Carl, you were a good friend and you will be missed.

One couldn't help but being in a better mood after talking with Carl, that's just how he was. We had unfortunately too few good times - at the UFC fight night GtG's.
No more smog rules or speed limits for you Carl....RIP.

I seldom stop by here anymore, but when I do I always enjoy reading the latest Nor Cal stuff. But this, how sad. One of our originals and truly a terrific guy. Our GTG's will never be the same without Carl's friendship...............RIP my friend.

OH man... Carl and I enjoyed many good moments together on cruises. So sorry to see this happened. People you have to get yourself checked out. I do marathons and am in great shape and even I had an incident. Even if you don't have any signs, please go to a cardiologist and get yourself checked out. It is painless, harmless and can really make difference between life and death.
Last month my wife felt fine, but I could tell something was not right. Took her to Samaritan in San Jose and turns out her Blood Pressure was completely out of control 180/95 as an average, and her pulse got up into the 130's, which was life threatening for someone that does not exercise. She felt fine and had no clue there was an issue. I have no doubts had my instincts not kicked in she would not be with us today.
Today she has an implant(looks like a min USB stick) that transmits her heart information to a cardiologist that looks at it everyday. He called me a few days ago with an appointment time because , even though she is taking medication, it is not under control and her pulse went as high as 150. But this is not about the wife, but about the rest of us that are getting beyond 50. GET CHECKED OUT!!!
