Default Forgestar rims for Sale

I am selling a complete set of Forgestar CF5 Deep Concave Gunmetal Gray rims. Center caps are included.

The fronts are 18*10 and the rears are 18*12.

I ordered these last year for my ZR1 and they have been replaced by another set of Forgestar rims I recently purchased on the Forum. They are in excellent shape with no rash on them and they do clear the ZR1's CC rotors.

New they would be $1,600 but I'm selling them for $800. 50 cents on the dollar is a very fair price so please no low ball offers.

Thanks for looking

If I didn't have a set of these already I'd probably buy them lol. Post them in the for sale section and they'll be gone quick at that price!

Sorry didn't see where you said you'd take them. Only where you asked for a shipping quote.

When I inspected the 18*10 front rims yesterday I noticed 2 parallel lines on the inside of the rims. I put one of the front rims back on the car and while nothing scraped it appears that at some time the rims must have rubbed against the brake caliber. Sorry but I can not sell the rims in this condition. Guess I'll just buy a set of drag radials and get ready for our upcoming " Vette Magic" drags in Sacramento on September 25th.

I'll buy then with the lines on the back of the wheels if everyone else passed on them and you decide to sell them.

Thanks for your response. I have an email into
Forgestar to understand how these rims that they say clear ZR1 brakes did not.

How deep are the lines? fingernail catches or deep? I would expect they would be fine on a C6 Z06. Are these the ones that need the hub rings to work?

Fingernail would be a good description. They are not deep but if you show your car they would not be ideal.

Frankly given your price and your disclosure I would sell them just not recommend they go on a ZR1. Plenty of Z06 owners can use them.

Agreed. I don't want to sell them to any ZR1 owners. Forgestar asked for pictures of my calipers so I thought I would pass them on to you.

Forgestar said the calipers were scuffed because there is very little clearance between the
CF5 rim and the caliper and road debris could get lodged in this space and cause the scuff marks on the caliper. I can understand that response but that does still not explain the two symmetrical lines embedded in both CF5 front rims

Maybe something was wedged in for a while to cause the groves.
Just a thought

Possible for one side but the symmetrical grooves are on both front rims.

Easy answer... The scratches inside the barrel of the wheel are caused by pebbles getting in between the wheel and caliper. All of my 18" wheels have them and it's nothing to worry about.

Thanks - Rich

Now why couldn't Forgestar give me a simple answer like that.
