Ok, who out there has wanted more power and considered headers on his California LS3 motor? Yet you didn’t go with them due to smog conflicts. Well, you may want to think about these Z06 exhaust manifolds and ZO6 cats, cuz it worked for me. 7 years ago I had my ’08 C6 manual with a Calaway Honker hooked up on a DynoJet and recorded near 387 hp on the rear. Then over the weekend I installed in my garage what Calvin is selling. Actually, I also put on a ZO6 H pipe but kept my OEM NPP exhaust tips. The week after, I had the car hooked up to the same DynoJet and got 415 hp. Since then, I’ve had it smogged twice and passed without a problem. A couple of years ago, I had Joe at Just-Joe’s Automotive dyno my car in Concord. He had just installed a brand new Mustang dyno and we got 424 hp to the rears. All in all, this is a simple and inexpensive way to almost get to headers: plus it can pass smog. The only draw-back is that it is quite loud. At Laguna Seca I received a 98 decimal reading between corners 5 & 6, so to stay on track I put on my turn-downs.
