I'd vote for the'75 L48 automatic, I think the CA version produced only 165 HP and had terrible 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, as you would expect.

For those that say 1984 ,I disagree, that car was pretty special at the time. I remember reading all the magazines, a corvette that really did handle. I couldn't wait to find a used one, couldn't afford new. Opening that clam shell hood was to die for, aluminum suspension components, 7 speed tranny, digital dash, those seats, bose stereo, brakes that actually worked, etc. The list goes on and on, 1984 was the first year a Corvette became a real sports car.

But if I had to pick one, I'd say 1984.

I love my '77 but it is difficult to get parts for.

I'd have to say the early C4s (1984 - 1990) were pretty ridiculous.

And I can't speak for her but I'll bet my dreamy new Z06 that YamahaJo would pick the '97..

I think every Corvette is gorgeous, but C4s before the "saw blade" rims were introduced are nasty looking . Also, any tan/brown C4s are really bad too.

Otherwise, I thought the early 90s C4s, especially the 92 ZR1 when they introduced the 5 spoke rim (I may be wrong on year) was hot, I think that was the car that started my Vette-lust

If I must pick a year 83

I had an '84 coupe with the Doug Nash 4+3 tranny and overall the car was pretty decent, but the +3 on the tranny gears was a real PITA.
