With the exception of Bergen County in NJ, dealerships are open on Sundays in NY and NJ. Nothing but food stores and pharmacies are allowed to be open on Sundays in Bergen. But our new Governor is thinking of changing it:

EDIT: Correction: Car dealers in NJ are closed on Sunday, in NY they're open.

Blue laws prevent Sunday motor vehicle sales in Missouri also.
If they wanted, nothing would prevent them from being open for service though.
But I don't know of any that are.

Lived in NY all my life up until a few years back. Dealers were always open on Sundays. Its not just dealerships though. Its all sorts of businesses that are closed just because its the Sabbath. Hell there is an entire fast food chain that doesn't open on Sundays down here.

I don't get it though. Saturday and Sunday are when people have time to do ****, why in the world would you close your business when the vast majority of your customer base has the time to stop in and potentially buy?
