My Bravia 55" updates it's firmware over the internet via the built in ethernet port.

That being said I'm returning it tonight to Costco after a week because there's a hardware problem that SONY can't fix.

I just purchased a Sony Bravia EX5 LCD 1080p tv two weeks ago.

What does this upgrade do to the tv?
How did you find out about the upgrade?

What phone number did you use?
Can you go directly to the Sony website and download the upgrade?

You had your cable box settings wrong?

Dude, you're a 39-year-old male. That sort of s**t should be built right into your DNA.

Should have found one of them left over Kuro's. As i said before Sony is not like the Sony from the early to mid 90's.

Yeah, because of 1 TV with a hw problem they're all bad.

Nice try Gilligan.

I'm not buying a Kuro for what I'm using this TV for, but then again, you know everything, so you already should have known that would be a waste of money.

When do mommy and daddy get home? Shouldn't you be doing your homework by now

Sony's RPTV's tv's were pretty much a flop. I sure miss the days when Sony made the XBR100, a 32" CRT that was $2300 around 1993. I about broke my neck buying it when it came out.
