Wonder if the NCRS would have some information about it? Maybe the tank sticker is still there? If it is and it's readable, that could answer a whole lot of questions. Especially if it may have been a tanker car with additional options like the air ducts. Even if they were part of an engineering project, the car could be very valuable.

A contact might be SOVREN (Society Of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts) This group is here in the Seattle area of the Pacific Northwest. It could be that somebody could help with identification or information.

Tom Armstrong and his wife Susan had a '63 Z06 that they raced in various Historics events in the Pacific Northwest and around the country. Tom owned one of the original 5 Grand Sports commissioned by Zora back in the early 60's. It was Chassis #3/ car #2. He now owns a '66 Ford GT40. I believe they are current members of SOVREN.

No tank sticker until '67

More marketing genius, from Terry Michaelis....the PT Barnum of the Corvette world.

pro team is trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear to run up the price. i can't wait till someone finds my 64 365 with a flat tappet rev kit in the engine. i bet they will be saying it was a GM experimental engine to drive up the price.
