Default What are the best shoes for walking on concrete all day?

I can wear athletic shoes etc, so I thought my New Balance shoes would be Ok for a job where I'll be walking on a concrete floor all day, but they're just not up to it.

I did some Googling and kept running across the name SAS. They're a little pricey, but apparently people like them. Anyone here tired them?

Other recommendations?

What new balance are you wearing. I've had great luck with the 927's with the ultra arch inserts (bout 50 extra bucks)

I wear New Balance 473's, 475's, but I admit I replace their inner cushion liner with a $10 cushion I get at the local Farm & Home. Then, they are very comfortable.

MBT shoes. Best there is for people who work on their feet all day. A friend of mine put me on to these shoes and cannot tell you how well they work. I had feet problems for 20 years and after wearing these for about 1 week, the problems went away. I will wear nothing but these shoes until the day I die. They cost more but are well worth the price. Check out ebay! Sometimes there are some really good buys.

I walk 10 or 12 miles per day (according to pedometer) on concrete around a massive plant. Sketcher shape ups have been the best for me. Very good arch support.

Concur, can't vouch for shaping anything up, but knee & foot problems went away once I started wearing these. Look online, several styles to choose from.

I just bought (2 weeks ago) this particular shoe for work in a factory setting, on my feet for 10 hours solid each day, absolutely no sitting down at all.

Great shoe, very supportive, and the toe area has extra room because the steel toe is specific to left and right feet, not just a generic toe cap like most boots.

About $120 retail, but so far worth every penny.
Better for comfort than any other steel toe shoe I have ever worn.

i like Magnum Response COmposite toe boots, very comfortable, breath well, and protect your feet, also water resistant, oil/slip resistant.

FOr sport shoes, I stomp in my Nike Air Force 1's....good support, look stylish, comfortable, the soles are a little soft for concrete only though.

These are not pretty, but they will do the job. I did many 14 hr shifts on off shore drilling rigs with these. http://www.redwingshoes.com/

Check out the Spira line. Been wearing em for 7-8 years. Really helped my feet.
