Default looking for stable mate for my TT c6

hey guys,
looking for another ride to go along with the c6. im looking for another sports car that gives me a different feel than the vette. im considering the 997 turbo, bmw M5, maseratti gran turismo, and a few others.

what do you guys think? what is a nice sports car to compliment the c6?

The maseratti gran turismo looked very nice in the last AW. It doesn't compete with a C6 in pure acceleration (according to the published numbers), but with a TT C6, I am sssuming that isn't top priority.

My vote goes to the 911 turbo. Man, it's good to be you!

Aston Martin Vantage would be my personal choice, or if you have the money the Vanquish....

If I was in your shoes, I would go for an M3. My friend has one and he loves it. I know it is a coupe and not a 2 seater sports car, but it is really nice.

Maybe even aim for a used viper. "flame suit on"

911 turbo, different feel, but won't leave you feeling flaccid.

Porsche 911/997 for sure. No ifs ands or buts about it. Probably one of the most badass cars you can buy that can do everything.....since you already have a C6

Get a Buggati Veyron. Nice cars, though they ride a little stiff.

Test drive what you can and then see which one you like best.

You should get a Shelby Cobra or Rouche....made in USA baby. That would be a different feel for sure.

I wouldn't be embarrassed to drive that car. I covet that car currently. Lots of US history behind that name.

In fact, one each of:
-Ford Shelby GT 500
-Dodge Challenger SRT8
-Camaro SS

Other than the M5, I think most of the other cars would be very close to the ride and feel of a corvette. If I was in the market for a sister car for my vette I would take a look at the Jaguar XFR. It's getting great reviews for quality, comfort and fast too. It also beat out the Maseratti ( maybe the M5 too) in I believe R&T. Plus I think it's a hot looking car. The Audi S5 is nice too.

Let me be the first to say that the Maserati GT is one of the sexiest cars I kno of, but if U are looking for real performance you would be best to look elsewhere. Ahhhh what a SWEEET as car to roll in... I once told my dad that when I get slightly older the XLR or XKR were gonna be my sports cars of choice... the Vantage was a third choice, but now I have a Forth... the Grand Turismo...

Last year I was talking to a client of mine and she mentioned that her husband had just purchased a Maserati sports car. She mentioned it because I drove up in the Vette and her exact words were "Wow nice car.. looks good in Black, it's almost exactly like my husbands car but is has a Pitch Fork in the front... and it's Grey"

She opens the garage doors and there sits a '65 Sting-Ray, an '00-05 DTS, an 89 Bronco, and a 2008 Maserati Grand ... The guy has good taste... but he was out of town... and she was offering the keys. (B4 U think it... she was old enuff to be my Mom)

"I'll take the keys to THAT ONE..." as I point to the Mas... I mean I've driven... but C2 Sting-Rays b4 soooo.

Anyway... she hopped in the passenger side and I took the wheel. Start her up and the sound is nothin short of AMAZING... the first thing that came 2 mind was an F355, I had the pleasure of spending a summer with when I was hangin in Miami in my much younger days. Acceleration was sweet... brisk... it comes in a smooth linear form... and I gotta tell U.. it still pales by comparison to my Z51... in fact I would liken it more to what the acceleration is in the XLR 4.6L. This is A GOOD THING.. the Turismo... IMO is not same kinda car as the Corvette, similar in fact to the differences between the Vette and the XLR, but with less "responsive" steering. I mean don't get me wrong.. the car can corner, and maneuvers well... but it is simply not on the same level as the Cadillac XLR, Porsche 911, or even the Jag Xk... ONCE AGAIN... don't get me wrong.. the car handles... but it's just not on the same level as the cars I mentioned.

Anyway... power is more than adequate, but I still can't figure out why 400HP kinda left me wanting for more power... when the 320HP 4.6L in the XLR and 443HP XLR-V didn't... When I drove the XKR I felt more confident in it's power, but it like the XLR-V has more power than the Maserati. Perhaps its the weight... as it is about 500lbs heavier than the Caddy and 300 more than the Jag. OH... and kudos for a very smooth shifting Manu-Matic... (same as Jag's I think) The Paddle Shifters on the Wheel are awesome as well.

Anyway... the car looks BEAUTIFUL... and the interior makes U wanna get naked and rub your sexy parts all over it. PLEASE Caddy... make a 4Seater like this... OH.. that's the reason for the CTC-V

Now... would I buy one over the XLR or XKr??? Naaaaah. It seemed several times that there were to breakable parts.. of course that could come simply from it not being my car... and belonging to a very important client.

My suggestion... and my choice to sit next to my Vette is that U get a Cadillac CTS-V. The car is absolutely fantastic.
