If .01 faster lap time comes at the price of $25k more the win is obvious.

MT are a bunch of effing fanboys and any idiot who buys a brand new M3 thinking he's getting the best performance for his dollars is just that, an idiot.

BMW should be ashamed of themselves. They obviously need to step up and get their car better brakes and about 80 more ponies to make it what it should be.

Bravo to Ford and the Mustang. BMW obviously are just ringing every last dollar out of there customers without giving them the performance they've paid for.

The 7 yeard old technology in my SRT8 with tune and exhaust will give the new M3 a run for it's money still! That just shouldn't be the case and why I'll stick with American cars for what looks like a long long time.

Sadly, I'll bet the guys on Top Gear will rip the Mustang apart for one reason or another.

The bottom line here is that no matter how close an american car comes to beating (or even if the american car beats) a BMW or Porsche, the typical german car buyer wouldn't even look at a Mustang or Camaro. Heck, most think a Corvette or Viper is "beneath" their choice of car. It is clear that Porsche and BMW profit margins are among the highest.

Ford did a great job with the mustang. I'm not a big fan of ford products but they deserve credit for making a hell of product..

The new boss 302 is even more impressive.. I like it better than the GT500 which is also impressive.

I believe GM needs to create a camaro SS that is lightened a hundred pounds...(plastic back seat/no cushion) 19 inch lightweight rims and tires..and an air filter mod for 14 more ponies to hit 440hp..

That would be my suggestion to GM..

As far as the Bimmer ? I dig the DSG transmission and wish either ford or GM offered such technology...

The first american brand that does gets my money...

the technology offered there is truly world class.

Hopefully corvette gets it for the c7..(even if its an MCT like the SL AMG uses as it can use GM's current technology without a torque convertor for direct feeling shifting for very little money)

Well Ford said there goal for the Boss was to beat the M3 and since the GT is just as quick the Boss should take it hands down. I'm glad Ford Is doing well.
