Default Really surprised with my new car....Si

Well guys the Hummer was killing me with the 14-16 MPG as a DD. I sold the Hummer and picked up a 2011 Civic Si Sedan with 22 miles on it. So far the car is great. My wife has always wanted one and vthe timing was perfect.

The Si's are getting hard to find for some reason. When we bought this is it was one of the last ones in the area. To top it off, they had a thing going on that landed me 0.9%APR for 60 months!! Also got a 7 year 100K mile bumper to bumper warranty with no deductible. I'm saving over $200 a month just in gas!!!!!

Looks good congrats....only downside to those cars that I know of is the use of premium fuel only on the Si's other than that its pretty much a car that is rock solid reliable like my Camry...84000 miles and the only thing thing that I had to replace out of normal maintenance was a brake switch..

Yeah, I have to run 91+. I still save $45+ every time I fill up. I didnt want to ge a plain Civic. The seats in the Si are great. Its a 6 speed so I still get to have some fun in it. All 197HP.....

Civic Si is like the BMW 3er of front wheel drive cars.

There's decent aftermarket parts (non-rice) for this car if you're interested.

Dang, for the money, I would've been mighty tempted to get a Mazdaspeed 3 (260 HP) but hey, the Si is also a nice car - just not as fast or spacious. (but probably more reliable)

The 2012 Si are going to have more low end torque. However, I think your gen's shape is a bit nicer and hey, that interest deal is sweet!

We looked at them, I just didn't like the interior or the huge front end. Plus the cost to own the Si is about $12K less than the Speed over 5 years.

The Si is pretty fun in the twisties. Plus I dont have to worry about turbos and what not. And yes, the 0.9% apr was hard to pass up.

I thought about doing that. I just dont want to give them any reason to deny my warranty if something happens. I know about the law, but I just dont want to take any chances.

A set of sweet rims it's a cool car dude. The Hummer will go to a good home and probably not be driven as much. My mate has a super charger on his and uses 28 liters per 100k's which is the worst economy of any car I have ever seen. It should be banned from the road.

Mazda did have 0% financing on many models a short while ago, although I'm not sure the speed 3 was included. My son has a 97 Civic CX with Eibach suspension, AEM V2 intake, 16" Black racing pros, pillar pod with glowshift high-end tach, and Magnaflow cat-back.

It is lots of fun to drive and is super-reliable so even though I am an old-time Mazda guy (still have my 89 GT Turbo), I appreciate Hondas (especially the Si) as well.

Those are some of the smoothest shifting six speeds there are...even counting very high end cars. Honda knows a thing or two about manual transmissions. I had a 1992 Civic Si and it was a great little car.

Tell me about it. Its a fun little car to drive. I had a guy on his late 50's come up and ask me about it last night. He left saying "Try not to get any speeding tickets in it." All I could do was smile....

How much are you saving in total, payments included? Fuel savings are only a part of the total cost of ownership.

All together alittle over $350 a month. Plus tires are cheaper(about $500 less) and oil changes cost less (about $20 less).
