Default VIDEO - Addison, TX: Ford GT Burns Up On Beltline Rd In Addison - VIDEO

I know this is not Ford GT Forum, but I thought some of you might be interested in this. Plus, there might be someone on here that knows who's car this is?

Know this car, belongs to a CF member, thats a sad sight to see, glad the owner is well.. Agree with Rich, this is one of the cars I would LOVE to own.

Here is the thread on CF introducing this car, bookmarked it a long time ago: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-f...o-ford-gt.html

The owner has already come out, so it's no big secret. It's Kumar and he had some recent modifications done that made it one very bad mama-jama. Unfortunately, it appears an oil/fuel line or something failed which caused the fire and the loss of this beautiful car.

That sucks! Do you know if the car is a total loss? (I don't see how it couldn't be, but I might as well ask)

Actually, it'll just need a wash and wax and it should be good to go.

No, I'm sure it's a total loss

I saw that beautiful car when I lived in Dallas. That is a real tragedy. I also saw a Viper burn up on Preston Road in Plano several years ago. Hate to see that happen to anyone's ride.

Ugh...

Did he not have an extinguisher? or did it not help?

I had an oil line to a cooler burst one day on my way to work... my car would have done this had I not had an extinguisher. I'm never without one now.

I'm so sorry to see this happen...
