The twists and turns at Nürburgring are no match for the muscle-flexing SRT Viper ACR-X. Time and time again the Viper has set records at the famed German circuit. Backed by amazing people and phenomenal engineering, our future looks promising.
When it comes to mainstream non-street legal cars, the Viper ACR-X sits atop the charts at Nürburgring, lapping the "Green Hell" in 7:03.058. The monumental run surmounted a 10-second advantage over its road-going sibling – the SRT Viper ACR. Viper fans know the ACR-X as the mandated vehicle for all race teams that compete in the SRT Viper Cup.
The SRT Viper ACR-X comes equipped with a Viper V-10 engine that whips out 650 horsepower. The ACR-X is also fitted with a track-tuned suspension, modified headers, a low-restriction exhaust system, factory-designed roll cage, fuel cell and a race seat.
There is no match when seeking to test every facet of a vehicle than taking to the Nürburgring Nordschleife. As always, the Viper SRT passes with flying colors, setting the bar higher with each pass.

Nothing to do with C6 or C6Z. But as a race car, it's pretty cool....

two points:
A) that thing is fffaaasssttttttt
B) put the random Z06 driver in that thing, and you can add a whole minute to the 'ring time if not 2 whole minutes.

Why bother even asking a question like this? They don't exist, nobody knows if they'll even be made, much less what their specs will be. Wait ~5 years and maybe we'll know what a "C7Z" is all about, but today there is no point in speculating.

The new gen viper is ready and will be out next year, we already know it will be lighter and have more hp than the gen 4's
Vipers unlike corvettes share the same power plant , it speculation but it's safe to say gm will be behind for at least a few years until performance versions of the c7 come into production.
Viper dominated corvette from 1992-2005, I doubt gm will take another 13 year beating from it's competitor .
Still speculation as people know what the new vipers are bringing to the table as far as power, nobody has a clue as to what the C7 will bring.

Plenty of cars have more HP than the ACR and haven't come close to 7:12..it's about the aero and suspension design as much as sheer horsepower. I will bet right now the NEW Gen 5 Viper cannot beat the ACR's time. Even with 700 horsepower it won't have the aero and ground effects to stick like the ACR has, and it won't be coming with Sports Cups as standard tires. However, in a year or two when the Gen 5 ACR comes out....lookout....

1. Your still clueless
2. Still secretly lust vipers
3. Still the troll of trolls
4. Still drive a 13 year old vette, that can be outperformed by a srt jeep, and virtually any other new sport or muscle car on the market today.

QUOTE=TapOut;1580085611] Honestly who gives a crap what any NON-street legal racecar runs at the ring. It's like saying, "Woohoo, the C6R set a new world record around the Nurbergring"!

Why is the ring this big a deal? Two guys drag race in the US. The loser yelling his car is faster around the ring is still the loser in a straight line, which is the environment the majority of these cars interact in.
