Default From Z06 to GT-R

http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index...._fromsearch__1

Z06 to GT-R. LOTS of people over at the GTR forums are trying to unload their Z06's or have already done so and bought GT-Rs.

Thoughts.....?

I might agree with them. I'm thinking if I sell my z, I'm moving into a gtr. It's just more of everyday kinda car with versatility.
But.. I know I would still miss my Z06. I wish I could have both actually.

A friend of mine has a GT-R,that rich rich trust fund baby ba$tard...
Probably for the money the fastest and easiest to drive fast on a track car.
But in typical japanese robotic fashion, everyone can do it,which is a good or bad thing, depending how you look at it...
Enjoy!

I know GT-R's have been considered pretty cool cars for years, but for some reason, have never pushed any of my buttons. Think it's the 3800 lb curb weight, that I'm just not gettin'.

Good for them, nothing wrong with liking a different car - notably one as potent as relatively rare as the GT-R.

Gtr is a better grocery getter and much better in rain and snow than the z06.

For rain and snow and getting groceries I will stick with an all wheel drive SUV. For nice sunny days, and an occasional stint to the track I'll stick with the Z06.

agreed so long as the not so pretty girl has a great A$$.

Gtr = not so pretty girl that has a BIG ugly a$$.

I guess the Gtr blows. So that might be a good thing.

I took a good natured ball busting from a friend who traded his M3 for a GTR. Told me "rear wheel drive and manual gearbox have gone the way of points ignition and bias ply belted tires"- inferring his paddle shift AWD car was the wave of the future. OK.

He also said his car would "cut 10 seconds off his time" around the local 1.8 mile race track. Uh, his times were the same as the M-3.

FUN!

I will be in my z for the forseable future!

Both have their merits....however, the Z is absolutely more fun

And by fun, meaning ear to ear grins, or err....sphincter's puckering up. Either way same end result! The Z takes a driver to extract its nectar, whereas a GTR merely requires an operator.

They're great cars. The reason I chose a Z06 instead of a GTR is the fact that I can actually work on my Z06. I had a TT Supra at one time and dealing with gremlins in something that has so much electronic stuff on it was a nightmare. (and that was just on the sequential TT system).

To each his own. There is no accounting for taste. I like Corvettes and even if GM trips on their dicks and messes it up, I still have my current 'vettes! I could care less what someone else likes, just as long as they are happy.

Exactly! I don't like heavy sports cars/sports coupes either.

It does look quite ricey in my opinion as well, yes.
