Default What is a car like this 1991 Z28 worth?

http://fortcollins.craigslist.org/cto/3074547163.html

He is asking $8,200, but I go to kbb.com and punch in the stats and it comes up with a price of like $3,500, which seems very low for a good condition old car like that.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

kbb is worthless for a car like that. You'll look long and hard to find another with low mileage and in that condition. I don't think that price is out of line.

Great condition for a 21 year old car with black paint.

Price might be a tad high, but that is a very clean car.

That car is worth WAY MORE than only $3500.00...I think he priced it almost perfectly. Hardtops (no t-tops) might be somewhat rarer too.
In a few more years it might even be worth as much as $10k to the right buyer.
Clean car.

It may be worth that much to a person who really loves older Camaros. Therefore, I think the owner should have it listed in a Camaro forum if he hasn't, already.

That is actually a great price for that car, the 5 speed manual was pretty rare too.

Clean looking car! You don't see too many of these in that good of condition without being restored. I think if I was buying the car I would off him 6K an meet some where in the 7K range.....

wow...super clean! Not sure if it's worth the asking price...but it has to be worth 5-7k easily. KBB is not helpful at all trying to price a car like this.

I would take a look at the condition and mileage of other third gens with asking prices under six grand. Suddenly his asking price will start looking pretty good. I would be willing to pay the extra for a car that has been obviously well maintained.
