Default Now THATs a Recall - Porsche replacing 911 engines

Wow! Porsche replacing the engines on all 2014 911 GT3's. I'm not sure whether to be impressed or stunned. I think if I had just bought a brand new GT3 and they were already replacing the engine, I'd be VERY concerned.

How could you possibly be impressed??
And what does this have to do with the C7?

Well they're being proactive, can't argue with that.

There has been known issues with the engine to catch fire with this 911. Sucks but it's not like there are a ton of these out there.

I'm not surprised. They really don't have many of them built, and being Porsche, it's exactly what they needed to do. Still an amazing car--fire extinguisher is now standard option.

And to YOUR C7 conversational contribution, I'll come right back at you and ask what does YOUR comment have to do with the C7?

So, in an effort to contribute, I'll answer your question. They are both high performance sports cars in enough of a similar "league" that car reviewers compare the Stingray to a 911 any chance they get...what I found interesting was for once, we have one up on the 911: The Stingray engine is not spontaneously combutsting.

Porsche: there is no substitute.

Other than a new engine.
